I've made this stamp because I'm FED UP with this kind of fanarts. Seems that for Yaoi lovers all male manga (and non manga) characters are gay!! It got me on my nerves everytime I see a Hiei x Kurama or a Sanji x Zoro fanart. Why do they want all cute manga guys turn them gay when they aren't? Why don't they respect their real personality?
I don't mind if they draw characters from original Yaoi mangas, as there are a lot ("Loveless", "Yami no Matsuei", "Our Kingdom", "Gravitation", "Stallion", "Secret Connection" or "Zetsuai 1989/Bronze Cathexis" and all real Yaoi lovers should know and love them), so I'm not telling about not to draw this stuff at all. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a homophobe. I've met amazing gay and bisexual people and I support gay marriage. Reflection: I have never seen any fanart where a Yaoi character turns into hetero... ...And I WOULDN'T be agree! Edit Oct. 20 Same text, different template stamp. I like this one better. ·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~· You don't need to comment, but I'd like to know who uses it (just out of curiosity) +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ |

If you say no heterosexual characters shold be slashed because they're not gay in the original show, where do you draw the line? Can you pair up the character with any other character in the show, as long as the character is FEMALE? It may be heterosexual and canon in that regard, but what if these characters never showed interest in each other, or for some reason the original creators just don't want that to happen either? Do you have the right to "disrespect" the personalities of the characters by pairing them up? For that matter, what right do you have to alter ANY character to suit your fanfiction/artistic desires, and to what extent may you do this? Should people be able to stray from the original storyline at ALL when they're drawing characters from shows or books?
All in all, I prefer giving myself and other people the creative license to do what they wish with the characters, because there are so many different ways it can be carried out. The original creators usually don't mind fanfiction/art even though, if they wanted, they could sue many people of us for copyright infringement. Sorry to hijack your stamp, which is very nice, but it did its job in getting my attention and this was the result!

They fry and grill themselves before our eyes, saying, "Does not the sweet scent of our cooked bodies tempt you? Fry us with butter; we are delicious. Boil us, grill us, stew us; we are good all ways!"

Let's just look at yaoi as genre which it is to begin with. Like all genres, it is unique, beautiful and it has always been around and never bothered anyone, but like all genres, it's not good with everything especially in stories which don't even have gay people let alone gay romances.
One good example of taking a good genre, but putting where it won't work was the attempt at making a live action movie out of Dragonball. Live action is good, but not with everything because something Dragonball is what it is because it something completely different.
If people made the excuse to make everything live action such as live action Simpsons, live action Yogi Bear, live action Megaman and the list goes on, you would say this is a bad idea not because live action sucks, but because live action is not applicable to some things. When you attempt at it, you do not get something creative, original or cute, you get something stupid that doesn't have that which made the original version good and it makes you look bad as a writer.
It's same principal with making yaoi out of everything. It looks bad when you put it in places where it doesn't fit and then yaoi gets a bad image because you insist on putting on things that are clearly non-yaoi. A person does not suddenly change their sexuality. You are either gay, straight, bisexual, etc or you are not.

Would you mind to tell me the names of those mangas to include them on the list? (Thanks in advance
So I guess you like Yaoi, don't you? If you do, I'm glad you've understood what I'm referring to with this stamp

I'm not telling at all people should stop drawing yaoi, is just that I'm tired and fed up of these yaoi fanarts where characters are as misstreated. I've never seen a fanart where a offical yaoi character is drawn straigh, and neither I'd be agreed with it because this character would be misstreated as well. Real yaoi fans should enjoy themselves drawing fanarts about yaoi mangas as "Zetsuai 1989". I'd never make a fanart with these characters turned straight because the author didn't create them this way.
I'm also agree with you about live action. Not live action is applicable to some things and is better not making them. It was a big fault to make this "Dragon Ball" live action (I haven't watched it and will not) but I've enjoyed other live actions on other stuff because they were like the original work (eg. "Nana").
To end, I want to give you the thanks for your interesting opinion.

When it comes to yaoi, it's because I can respect it that I think the fandom needs to give praise to stories that actually are about gay love or yaoi not go around saying that two straight guys are gay for each other from every single thing that has absolutely no yaoi whatsoever. While I am not yaoi fan, I can say that true yaoi is actually pretty good and it's true yaoi that needs attention rather than diverting it all to fan yaoi couples that were never official (aka canon) or were from yaoi stories to begin with.
Moreover, while I do support freedom of speech, I also support common sense. You can not change the way a character swings for your own pleasure because it can not happen in real life. That's like changing someone's color in a story while using the excuse that you are a fan of that color to get away with it. While color, orientation or whatever doesn't matter, it's still part of what each character is and needs to be respected.
In the long run, I think it would be good for the yaoi fans too to stop making false yaoi using straight characters because if they made yaoi fanart and fanfics from true yaoi mangas and animes, the non-yaoi fans would not bother them because they wouldn't even notice it since they don't read it or watch to begin with. Do you know what I mean?
